Having been interested in the technical side of my own racket strings and set-up for many years I decided to learn more and put my interest to good use helping other players improve their game through maintaining their rackets. I became a UK Racket Association professional stringer in 2013. My interest and learning is continuous as new advancements develop both in string technology and stringing methods. I have passed my exams with strict guidance from several grand slam stringers. My highest qualification, Master Racket Technician, allows me to join stringing teams and string for Pro players. Part of these exams involved learning the technologies and performance of tennis strings and tennis frames. This has provided me with the ability to advise on suitable strings and rackets for a players specific needs. I understand tennis related injuries and how specific strings can help with the injury, or prevent it, and how the wrong strings can make the situation worse.
